How to become a member
If you
currently hold a Firearms certificate (FAC) and are already a member of another shooting club, then please contact our Secretary by email from here and we shall send you an application form.
If you do not have an FAC, then you may join Langar RC as a probationary member for an initial six month period during which time you will receive training in the safe use of target rifles from our club instructors using our own club's equipment. You can visit the club to see the facilities before applying to join by appointment with our Secretary by email from here. You will need to nominate a referee in support of your application to whom we can write for confirmation of your circumstances. We also have to advise the Nottinghamshire Police of your application. Once all checks have been completed to our satisfaction, your probationary membership will be put to the Club Committee for approval.
You will then take part in our training course, which is run twice a year. After a minimum of three months, having completed the course and attended the club regularly, if you have demonstrated a good knowledge of safe shooting skills, you may apply for full membership.
